Welcome to ResumeWorks.pro. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at https://resumeworks.pro and any related services provided by ResumeWorks.pro (“ResumeWorks”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using ResumeWorks.pro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the site or services.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or use ResumeWorks.pro on your own behalf. If you are using the site on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind them to these Terms.

3. USE OF THE SERVICE

You may use ResumeWorks.pro only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You agree to use the service only for legitimate personal, professional, or internal business purposes related to resume creation, career documents, and related activities.

You must not use ResumeWorks.pro to:

• violate any law or regulation
• infringe the rights of others
• upload false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content
• upload malicious code, scripts, or harmful files
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, server, database, or user account
• interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the site
• copy, scrape, reproduce, resell, or exploit the service in an unauthorized way
• use the service to create or distribute spam, fraud, or deceptive materials

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms or created risk for the site, our users, or others.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

To access some features, you may need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate information
• keeping your login credentials confidential
• all activity that occurs under your account
• promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access or suspected security issue involving your account

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that are inactive, compromised, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

5. USER CONTENT

“User Content” means any information, text, files, documents, resumes, cover letters, career history, profile details, or other materials you submit, upload, create, store, or export through ResumeWorks.pro.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting or storing User Content through the service, you grant ResumeWorks.pro a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and transmit that content only as necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service for you.

You represent and warrant that:

• you own your User Content or have the necessary rights to use it
• your User Content does not violate any law, contract, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right
• any personal information you provide about another person, such as a reference, is information you are permitted to provide

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The ResumeWorks.pro website, branding, design, text, graphics, software, functionality, and all related materials other than User Content are owned by ResumeWorks.pro or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the service except as expressly permitted by us in writing or as allowed by law.

If any downloadable templates, examples, or generated layouts are provided through the service, they are licensed for your permitted use with the service and not sold to you unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. GENERATED DOCUMENTS AND USER RESPONSIBILITY

ResumeWorks.pro provides tools to help users create resumes and related documents. We do not guarantee that any resume, cover letter, or other document created using the service will result in interviews, job offers, employment, or any specific outcome.

You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated or edited content before using, sending, publishing, or relying on it.

You are also responsible for ensuring that your documents are accurate, truthful, complete, and appropriate for your intended use.

8. NO PROFESSIONAL OR LEGAL ADVICE

ResumeWorks.pro provides software tools and general document-building functionality. The service does not provide legal advice, employment law advice, immigration advice, regulated career counselling, or any other professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise.

Any content, templates, examples, or suggestions made available through the service are provided for general informational purposes only.

9. SITE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Government of Canada terms pages similarly note that online platforms and services may experience downtime or become unavailable, and that operators may change terms over time.  

We may also add, remove, or revise features, account permissions, templates, workflows, or technical requirements at any time.

10. PRIVACY

Your use of ResumeWorks.pro is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

Canadian private-sector organizations engaged in commercial activity are generally expected to handle personal information in line with PIPEDA principles such as accountability, limiting collection, safeguards, openness, and access.  

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

ResumeWorks.pro may contain links to third-party websites or services, or may depend on third-party hosting, infrastructure, domain, email, or related service providers.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, or policies. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

12. ACCEPTABLE SECURITY PRACTICES

You must not test, scan, probe, or attempt to bypass the security of the site unless you have our prior written authorization.

You must not impersonate another user, use another person’s account without permission, or attempt to elevate your permissions improperly.

Where role-based access is used on the site, you may only access the areas and features that are assigned to your account.

13. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to ResumeWorks.pro at any time, with or without notice, if:

• you breach these Terms
• we believe your use creates legal, operational, or security risk
• your account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully
• we are required to do so by law
• the service is changed or discontinued

You may stop using the service at any time.

Any provisions of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related provisions.

14. DISCLAIMERS

ResumeWorks.pro is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We make no warranties, representations, or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or reliability.

We do not guarantee that:

• the service will meet your expectations or requirements
• the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• generated documents will be accurate, effective, or suitable for any specific employer, industry, or jurisdiction
• any errors or defects will always be corrected

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ResumeWorks.pro and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, business, reputation, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
• CAD $1

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

16. INDEMNITY

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ResumeWorks.pro and its owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

• your use of the service
• your User Content
• your violation of these Terms
• your violation of any law or third-party rights

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the site after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

18. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of ResumeWorks.pro will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
